Who this is for

For you if you are

  • A county budget director, administrator, or manager who signs off on what the office buys.
  • A city finance director, budget manager, or city manager running the same work with a smaller team.
  • A budget analyst or technician, in a county or a city, who wants their afternoons back.

Not for you if you want

  • A course on how large language models work. There's no theory here.
  • A slot to demo your product. This is a working session, not a vendor showcase.

What you'll see running, live

Every tool comes from a practising county budget director's own week. Each one runs on made-up county data so you can see exactly what goes in and what comes out.

Public records requests
A request comes in. Watch a first-draft response and a document list come back while you're still reading the request.
Board reports
Past reports, the fiscal impact, and the recommendation turned into a draft in the format your clerk already expects.
Presentations
A budget update deck built from numbers you already have, ready for you to argue with.
The inbox
Department questions sorted, answered where the answer already exists, flagged where it doesn't.

Why this works when the enterprise licence didn't

Your county or city probably already pays for an AI licence. It sits there because it doesn't know what a board report is, and nobody on your team has a free afternoon to teach it.

A practising county budget director built these for her own office, from the work that office does. They already know the shape of a records request, a board letter, a department's budget question. You don't train anything. You use it.

They weren't built to cut a position. They were built so a technician could stop doing data entry and start sitting in on the legislative work. That's the promotion you've been putting off.

About Thorsero

Deja Sero is a consultant to Thorsero and a practising county budget director in California. Board hearings, department requests, records requests, the late-night deck. If you run a budget office in any state, that's your week too.

The consultant has sixteen years in strategic planning and budget development.

The consultant started building these tools for her own team because she was tired of watching good people spend their days on the mundane parts of the job. This masterclass shows what she built. For her, it's a personal project, on her own time.

Want it built for your office instead?

Most people who watch the demo don't want to build their own. They want the tool, working, in their office, built by someone who knows what the work is.

Builds are taken on for a small number of counties and cities. We pick the one task eating your best person's week. The tool is built for it and handed over running. Your IT director gets a plain description of what it touches and what it never touches.

If that's what you want, book a call. No pitch deck. Bring the task.

Questions

Is this a sales pitch?
It's sixty minutes of tools running. At the end it covers how to get one built for your office. You can drop off before that part.
What does a tool touch in our systems?
That depends on the tool, and it's the first thing discussed with your IT director. You get a one-page description of what goes in, what comes out, and where it runs, before anything is installed.
Will this replace anyone?
No. It replaces the part of the job nobody wanted. The person who was doing it gets the afternoon back, and you decide what they do with it.
We already have Copilot. Isn't this the same thing?
A licence is a blank page. These are tools built for one job each. Nobody on your team has to work out what to type.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you can attach a file to an email, you can run these.
Do you work with counties in other states?
Yes. The masterclass is on Zoom, and county budget work looks the same everywhere: a board, departments, a records law, and a calendar that never moves.
We're a city, not a county. Does this still apply?
Yes. A city finance office runs the same jobs with a smaller team: records requests, staff reports for council, presentations, and the inbox. The governing body and the calendar are different. The work isn't. The tools read your own calendar, your own records law, and your own templates, so they use your words and not anyone else's.
